Artist’s statement - meet the artist
Painting in my studio
Fascinated both by color and detail, I like to zoom in on nature, capturing the blooms, birds and busy insects, that are all around us in Chatham County.
Starting with photographs, doodles, and sketches, I try to carefully plan my approach but, in the end, watercolor happens!
My work tends toward rich, joyful color, a realistic, detailed focal point with a more interpretive background.
